Saturday night was one for the history books. Our chorus convened brothers in song through the years for one night to commemorate 50 years of harmony. Special guests included Barbershop Harmony Society executive Don Fuson, St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith and Central States District's executive vice president Kevin Barker. We were treated to stellar performances from the Gas House Gang, Crossroads, Vocal Spectrum, Sound F/X and Expanded Sound. Some 200 or so current and former AOH members convened on the risers to sing "Harmony" and "Pure Imagination" together. Overall, more than 400 members, spouses and guests crowded a banquet hall in St. Charles to toast old friends, recall fond memories and look ahead to at least 50 more years of music and fellowship. Special thanks to Event Chairman Matt Hamilton, Tim and Leslie Myers, the AOH board, the music team and everyone else who made the 50th anniversary celebration such an unforgettable night.
