BECOME A MEMBER | HOW TO AUDITION
Ready to join a winning chorus? The Ambassadors of Harmony (AOH) are looking for passionate singers to join our ranks! We understand that auditioning for a five-time champion chorus can be intimidating, but don't worry – we were all in your shoes once.
Here's a breakdown of our audition process:
Step 1: Experience the AOH
Attend three consecutive rehearsals. This is your chance to see how we operate, meet the chorus members, and get a feel for the barbershop singing experience.
Step 2: Vocal Audition
Prepare to sing a traditional barbershop song in a quartet setting for our music team.
Focus on accuracy: Sing the correct notes and words.
Show off your voice: Demonstrate good vocal tone that blends well with the chorus.
Step 3: Join the Barbershop Harmony Society
Once you pass your audition, you'll need to be a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS).
Apply for membership and pay your BHS dues.
Beyond the Audition:
As a member, you'll participate in a performance evaluation.
Commitment is key: Be prepared to learn our repertoire and attend rehearsals and concerts regularly.
Have Questions?
